Chris Tomlin And Underøath Featured On HearItfirst.ca

Publish Date: Aug 29, 2008

This week’s premieres feature two highly anticipated release, one that will lift your spirits and the other that will rock you to your core.

Following his 2006 RIAA Gold-certified record, See the Morning, Chris Tomlin’s fifth studio release, Hello Love, communicates what he describes as the “need to introduce ourselves to love again.”

Produced by Ed Cash (Steven Curtis Chapman, Amy Grant, Bebo Norman), the record endeavours to give voice to the Church to worship their Creator. Songs including “Love”, “God Of This City”, “Sing, Sing, Sing” and “I Will Rise” are already impacting worshippers across the globe, as Tomlin debuts his new music on Passion’s first ever world tour which will include a stop in Vancouver on October 6th.

The project’s first single, “Jesus Messiah”, is finding a home among listeners as well, receiving more adds its debut week than any other single in American Christian radio history. It’s no wonder that Tomlin continues to be the most-sung artist in churches around the world.

Also available in a Worship Leader Edition two disc CD/CD-ROM set. This project is available exclusively at Christian retailers. It contains:

1. Piano/Vocal/Guitar sheet music, chord charts, and lead sheets for all songs in two keys; the original key and a second key.

2. Seven WorshipTogether.com “how to” videos, where Tomlin shares the stories behind the songs and gives a short tutorial on performing them.

3. Special greeting from Tomlin to worship leaders.

A songbook arranged in the popular Piano/Vocal/Guitar format with guitar chord charts completes the Hello Love resources.

As the final notes ring out on Lost In The Sound Of Separation, it’s evident that the six men of Tampa, FL-based Underøath, who’ve built their career on being both heavy and experimental, have delivered their most ambitious and accomplished disc to date. Succinct and resolute, there’s little denying that the 43-minute, 11-track follow-up to 2006’s rapturously received and gold-certified Define The Great Line is a hard music masterpiece.

Crafted with the help of Atlanta-based producer/drummer Matt Goldman, who helped pour the rhythmic foundation; and Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, who lent his experience to help capture the guitars and vocals and encouraged these Warped Tour veterans to use E-bows, reel bows and experiment with delays and effects pedals; the resulting album is a mind-blowing song-cycle that resets the notion of what hardcore, screamo or whatever you want to call it, can be.

Lost In The Sound Of Separation is also available as a Special Edition CD/DVD. It contains approximately 40 minutes of the making of the record with exclusive, never before seen studio footage and interviews with band, Adam D., Matt Goldman, and David Bendeth. It also includes bonus artwork.

The band will hold their Canadian CD release party at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto on September 3rd. Only a limited number of tickets are now available and they are going fast, fans can purchase tickets at Ticketmaster.com (password: Underoath777).

Both titles will be arriving at your local Canadian Christian retailer on September 2nd. Keep track of all the new and upcoming releases via your own personal copy of the September New Music Tuesday poster. Head over to HearItFirst.ca to hear more from these new releases.
