Chris Sligh And This Holiday Life Featured On HearItFirst.ca

Publish Date: May 02, 2008

This week’s premieres features the debuts from one of three former American Idol contestants releasing projects this spring and a melodic pop/rock outfit fom San Diego.

In 2006, Chris Sligh auditioned for American Idol, more or less on a whim. To his surprise, his performance swept him onto a fast track to the final rounds. His willingness to challenge convention and to take creative risks is evident throughout Running Back To You.

Produced by Brown Bannister (Amy Grant, Aaron Neville, MercyMe, Steven Curtis Chapman), with guest co-production from renowned musicians Will Owsley and Stephen Leiweke.

Chris Sligh simultaneously touches the heart and rocks the house. His story is still just beginning – but it starts with an explosion of soul and sound, right here, right now.

Other American Idol contestants releasing albums this spring include Phil Stacey and Brooke Barrettsmith.

Intoxicating melodies and purposeful lyrics are the oil which paint the story. Scott’s easily distinguishable voice captivates listeners, while his music poetry challenges them to ignite with an unquenchable passion for truth. Bobby, Mark and Joe bring life to the music by weaving the canvas on which the story is told. The story we are all part of… the story of this life… this holiday life.

This Holiday Life have shared the stage with such acts as Switchfoot and Copeland. They were nominated as Best Rock Album Of The Year and Best Group Of The Year at the San Diego Music Awards.

For a limited time, Running Back To You will be introductory priced for only $12.99 while The Beginning Of The End Of The World will be priced at $14.99 or less. Both albums will be arriving at your local Canadian Christian retailer this Tuesday, May 6th.
