In remembrance of over 25 years since Keith Green’s journey home, Sparrow Records has opened up the vaults and uncovered hundreds of hours of unreleased live concert recordings, festival recordings, television performances, teachings, photos, videos, and even new songs that have never been heard… until now on The Live Experience and Greatest Hits projects, currently available at Canadian Christian retailers.

Along with The Live Experience Special Edition CD is a DVD with over four hours of content, including never before seen live performances from TV appearances, festivals, concerts, and more. In addition, included is a 60 minute documentary “Your Love Broke Through” which tells Keith’s life story from his early days as a child recording star to the spiritual journey that led him to faith in Christ.

The process of gathering such a large bulk of material is quite a story. In storage for 25 years, Melody Green was just waiting for the right time to do something with them, and felt commemorating his life after the 25 year point was important, and so handed the masters over to Sparrow, who then spent 18 months digitizing, cleaning up old reel to reel tapes, video tapes, cassette tapes, etc, and had Green’s concerts, which were all in various sorts of quality, fully restored. The Live Experience also features some special packaging with extensive liner notes from John J. Thompson, many new pictures, and fold out design.

The latest Greatest Hits project features his timeless songs. The project also includes the previously unreleased studio track “Your Love Came Over Me” and an unreleased live version of “He’ll Take Care Of The Rest”. A companion songbook is also available. 2008 will start a two-year campaign unveiling not only new products of unreleased recordings but also an updated “Legacy Edition” version of the best-selling book No Compromise, with six new chapters (November), more previously unreleased recordings of Keith including songs he recorded as he was journeying to his faith in Christ, more previously unreleased recordings (Spring 2009), and ultimately a major motion picture release tentatively scheduled for 2009 telling Keith’s life story.
