Atlanta based Casting Crowns has returned to the top of the Canadian Christian retail charts.
Atlanta based Casting Crowns has returned to the top of the Canadian Christian retail charts.
The group’s latest outing Lifesong first topped the charts after its August release and switches places with last month’s chart topper Nothing Is Sound by Switchfoot which slips to #2. The highest new entry on the charts is WoW Hits 2006 at #6 with Kirk Franklin entering at #16 with Hero and Steven Curtis Chapman with his new Christmas release All I Really Want For Christmas debuting at #19.
Other new entries on the chart include the Newsboys, WoW Christmas Green, MercyMe, iWorship, X Worship, David Phelps, VeggieTales, Point of Grace, The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Underoath and T-Bone. Praise and Worship continues to dominate the charts with 6 of the top 10 albums being worship releases including the newest Hillsong album God He Reigns at #3.
Canadian artists also continue to do well, with Thousand Foot Krutch leading the way at #8 with The Art of Breaking. The sales chart is based on actual sales at Canadian Christian retail stores.
