GRAMMY® Award-winning band Casting Crowns has its sixth consecutive No. 1 song with Does Anybody Hear Her holding the top spot on multiple radio charts this week, including R&R’s Christian AC Monitored, Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs, and a fourth week atop R&R’s AC Indicator chart. This is the third No.1 single from the band’s RIAA Gold-certified 2005 release Lifesong.
Does Anybody Hear Her marks the band’s sixth career radio No.1. The group’s 2003 self-titled, platinum-selling debut produced mega hits If We Are the Body, Who Am I, and Voice of Truth which claimed a record-breaking 13 weeks on top. The radio streak has continued with chart-toppers Lifesong and Praise You In This Storm off the group’s GRAMMY®-winning, sophomore record.
Over its three-year career, Casting Crowns has been the most played artist on all Christian radio formats combined. The band has sold more than 2.3 million albums to date, with RIAA certifications including two Platinum records and two Gold records. Casting Crowns won a GRAMMY® for its sophomore studio album Lifesong, and was named Group of the Year for the second consecutive year at the 37th Annual Gospel Music Awards. Lead singer and songwriter Mark Hall has been a student pastor for 15 years and currently serves on staff at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church in Atlanta.
The “Gift Edition” of their best-selling debut will be available at Canadian Christian retailers on March 20th. The CD/DVD combo will feature the original recording plus a bonus DVD contaiining the behind-the-scenes story of how Casting Crowns got their start, live performance footage of Who Am I, the American Dream music video and more.
