Canadian Rock Band Manic Drive Releases Sophomore CD

Publish Date: Sep 12, 2007

Whiplash Records will release the second national recording from Canadian rock band Manic Drive on October 23rd. Produced by Brian Hardin, Reset & Rewind features guest vocals from former dcTalk member Kevin Max, rapper M.O.C., adn Jill Parr.

Manic Drive’s first national CD, Reason For Motion, spawned four radio hit singles including top 5 and top 10 songs on the Christian rock charts. Manic Drive had two top 10 international music videos from Reason For Motion, and their songs Something More and Nebulous were featured as theme and commercial music for Spike TV’s TNA Wrestling. They co-headlined the Revolution Generation Tour with Seventh Day Slumber, and have played at all the major festivals including Kingdom Bound, Cornerstone, Rock The Desert, Joshua Fest, Ichthus Festival, Downpour Festival, and Spirit West Coast. CCM Magazine named Manic Drive one of the “Bands to Watch” in 2006. The band will tour again this fall with Seventh Day Slumber to promote the new CD.

Reset & Rewind has already spawned a new radio single and music video entitled Eleven Regrets. Brothers Shawn and Michael Cavallo began their music career when they were only eight and nine year-old kids, creating four, self-produced CDs before joining Whiplash Records for their 2005 debut. Now in their early 20s, these “veterans” have been endorsed by C28 Clothing, Scripts Shoes, Peavy Audio, and Godin Guitars.

“This is one of the best records I’ve ever made,” says Brian Hardin, Producer for Reset & Rewind and Managing Partner of Whiplash Records. “It’s exciting to see Manic Drive’s growth artistically and spiritually. They’ve paid their dues and have impacted tens of thousands of lives over the years and Whiplash Records is thrilled to be a part of their mission.”
