Award-winning worship artist and songwriter Brian Doerksen and his family will be featured in “As For Me and My House,” a documentary set to air on TBN tomorrow, Thursday, June 26th at 4:30 p.m. (Pacific). The program, which was filmed by “Joni & Friends,” will air again Sunday morning, June 29th at 2:30 a.m. (Pacific).
Doerksen and his wife Joyce have six children, two of whom suffer from disabilities caused by Fragile X Syndrome. The family’s trials and joys often provide inspiration for Doerksen’s songs, which have won Juno, Covenant and SHAI Awards. The British Columbia resident is the writer of songs such as “Come Now is the Time to Worship”, “Hallelujah (Your Love is Amazing)” and “Refiner’s Fire”. His latest CD is the critically-acclaimed Holy God.
