Comedian and actor Bone Hampton recently stopped by the ABC-TV studios in New York City to congratulate his good friend Sherri Shepherd on her new role as co-host of ABC/CTV’s “The View.”

Shepherd, formerly of the CTV sitcom “Less Than Perfect”, shares hosting duties on the show with co-hosts Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Elisabeth Hasslebeck and Joy Behar. Bone credits much of his growing recognition in the entertainment field to friends who think and act like him, such as Shepherd and her former “Less Than Perfect” co-star Zachary Levi (NBC/Citytv’s Chuck); co-labourers in the faith who believe it is possible to be a Christian and make it in showbiz. “I’ve probably written more jokes talking to Sherri than with anybody else,” Bone says. “Most of my jokes come during conversation with somebody. All I need is funny people around me.”
Hampton appears on Thou Shalt Laugh 2: The Deuce, a DVD hosted by comedy legend and five-time Emmy® Award winner Tim Conway (The Carol Burnett Show, SpongeBob SquarePants). Featuring some of the brightest talent in Christian comedy, including Bone, Taylor Mason (Taylor’s Attic), Thor Ramsey (Bananas), Victoria Jackson (Saturday Night Live) and Daniel Nainan, “Thou Shalt Laugh 2: The Deuce” comes from the producers of the popular Blue Collar Comedy Tour.
Hampton will also be appearing in Ottawa on November 17th at Woodvale Pentecostal Church together with Steve Geyer and Nazareth on the Bananas Comedy Tour. Visit the YMZ Concert listings from more details.
