Big Daddy Weave Announces “What Life Would Be Like” Fall Tour

Publish Date: Aug 26, 2008

Big Daddy Weave announces the September 11th launch of their “What Life Would Be Like 2008 Tour” in support of the band’s recently-released CD of the same name.

Celebrating a decade together with all original members still intact, headliner Big Daddy Weave will visit 37 cities throughout the Midwestern, Southern and Eastern U.S. through November (complete schedule available below). The band will be joined by special guest artists Rush of Fools and Jason Gray.

World Vision, an international Christian humanitarian organization, is a major sponsor for the What Life Would Be Like Tour. Because of Big Daddy Weave’s involvement with the non-profit for several years, content on the newest CD, including a cover of Phil Collins’ classic, “Another Day In Paradise”, was influenced by a 2007 visit with World Vision to poverty-stricken villages in Ecuador. The tour is additionally sponsored by God’s Pit Crew, a disaster-relief organization based in Gulfport, MS.

While on tour, Big Daddy Weave will introduce their “Let’s Hear What Life Would Be Like” campaign. Developed as a multi-community building initiative and driven primarily through an online message board found at www.bigdaddyweave.com, people will be encouraged to post their testimonies and comments before and after the band’s performance in their tour city. In addition to fans sharing their experiences with other communities’ posts, Big Daddy Weave will further enter their thoughts in response to posts.

Big Daddy Weave hit the spotlight in 2002 when One And Only debuted in SoundScan’s Christian Top 5, the highest debut for a new artist that year. Garnering its first CHR No. 1 at radio with “Audience of One”, the band’s other chart-topping songs include “You’re Worthy Of My Praise” from What I Was Made For, and title cut from “Every Time I Breathe”. Big Daddy Weave has additionally been featured on several special event albums such as Dove Hits, WoW Hits, WoW Worship, WoW Christmas and the Absolute series. Alabama-based, Midas Records band, Rush Of Fools, helped introduce a new genre of worship music and the “progressive worship” trend into the music scene with its self-titled debut project last year. The band’s first and No. 1 single, “Undo”, which was also featured on CBA’s top-selling WOW 2008 CD, exploded at radio producing Radio and Record’s 2007 “Song of the Year” and ASCAP’s “Song of the Year Award” (April 2008). In addition to Rush Of Fools being the second best selling new artist release of 2007, the band went on to collect multiple Dove Awards with its freshman bow. Rush Of Fools is preparing for the release of its highly-anticipated sophomore project, Wonder Of The World, that is slated to release nationwide September 16, 2008. Jason Gray’s talent and willingness to share his weaknesses with his audience has created a strong bond with fans and media. His debut project for Centricity Music, All The Lovely Losers, was heralded as one of the top albums of 2007. He is currently working on his second project for Centricity that is scheduled to release summer 2009. For more information on Jason Gray, visit his YMZ artist page.
