Centricity Record’s holiday CD, Bethlehem Skyline, has become one of the most popular projects for 2007. The album received critical acclaim from Christian press and at radio, over 60 reporting stations (which includes the AC, INSP and CHR formats) played one or more songs from Bethlehem Skyline. The album also resulted in a record-breaking chart position for downhere with their single from the project, How Many Kings. The song peaked at #4 on the Christian Adult Contemporary chart at Radio & Records. Program Directors across the country are praising the song as a major hit.
”’How Many Kings’ is by far the most requested, emailed and called about song we’ve played this year.”
Mike Prendergast, Assistant Program Director, Music Director / KLTY/Dallas, TX
”’How Many Kings’ by downhere is destined to become a Christmas Classic. It’s that GOOD!”
Jim Epperlein, Program Director / XM 32 The Message
Media has also been supportive of Bethlehem Skyline, which features the entire roster of Centricity Records which includes downhere, Jason Gray, Circleslide, Jaime Jamgochian, and Daniel Kirkley:
“Usually albums from new labels that feature Christmas songs land in the bargain bin. But Bethlehem Skyline has beaten the odds with a refreshing approach to the tried and true seasonal recording.”
New Man Magazine
“While most holiday releases spend eleven months of the year collecting dust on a shelf Centricity Record’s Bethlehem Skyline won’t be facing that future, the music is too good not to play it year round. This release is destined to become a Christmas classic itself!”
ChristianRockersonline.com
Industry veteran and Vice-President of A&R for Centricity Records, John Mays, oversaw the production process of Bethlehem Skyline. “This CD was such a labour of love for all of us. I’ve never been a part of a project like this where the entire roster could contribute the way they did, and then combine all their voices together for one song. Community is a big value to us at Centricity, and this project really helped to foster the sense of it among our roster and staff. It’s truly been a unique project to work on, and to see this sort of acceptance for it has just been icing on the cake!”
Two upcoming projects are on tap for early 2008. Jaime Jamgochian will release her sophomore CD on February 26th, Above The Noise. Jamgochian was the cover girl in December for Christian Single magazine and reviews are scheduled for Home Life magazine, Worship Leader magazine, Journal of Student Ministries, Christian Retailing, Worship Musician, to name a few. And newcomer, Lanae Hale, will be releasing her debut project.
