Sisters Rebecca, Alyssa, and Lauren Barlow fire back with their most outspoken project to date.
How Can We Be Silent aptly addresses themes of hope in the midst of chaos, forgiveness, and even spiritual warfare, while remaining true to the BarlowGirl signature sound that showcases their pristine sisterly harmonies.

The DVD features over 90 minutes of bonus footage, including personal interviews with BarlowGirl, two music videos, stories behind the songs and the always fun bloopers. “I feel closest to God whenever I’m leading people in worship, when I can step away from the microphone and it appears that a sea of people are singing to God from the bottom of their hearts and the top of their lungs, ” confesses Aaron Shust. Crafting songs that make this happen was the goal with Whispered And Shouted, the follow-up to Aaron’s chart-topping debut album Anything Worth Saying.
A life-long church-goer, Aaron grew up performing in the church and advanced quickly when learning instruments. Attending Toccoa Falls College, Shust studied music theory, developed an aptitude for the likes of Bach and Mozart, and soaked in the sounds of more recent masters like his favourite band U2. These contemporary influences come to bear on Whispered And Shouted. It’s an exploration of new musical territory for what is at its heart another Praise and Worship album from this exciting newcomer. This record will make you want to sing along whether you’re standing in a church or driving in your car.
Aaron won three Dove Awards at the 2007 GMA awards ceremony, including Songwriter and New Artist Of The Year. He was also honoured for writing My Savior My God, which was named Song Of The Year.
Whispered And Shouted will be specially priced at $17.99 or less while the regular edition of How Can We Be Silent will be spotlight priced at $17.99 or less at participating Canadian Christian retailers. Head over to HearItFirst.ca to hear these upcoming releases.
