Ayiesha Woods And Red Featured On HearItFirst.ca

Publish Date: Jun 09, 2006

Still in her twenties, Ayiesha Woods brings an energetic and refreshing sound to music with the polished presentation of a veteran musician. She explains “I don’t want to be placed in one specific category. I think I represent a lot of different styles of music. My goal is to be able to put out a record with a sound that has a lot of different things for people to appreciate at one time.”

Introducing Ayiesha Woods does just that with something for everyone: Rock influenced tracks like Big Enough, and pop-influenced songs like The Remedy and What Matters Most. The project takes on a worshipful tone with cuts including What You Do To Me and tackles the universal language of love in the song The Only One.

Musically influenced by artists such as Linkin Park, Chevelle, and Muse, Red brings a unique blend of roiling guitars, epic string arrangements, strong melodies, and passionate vocals. The songs on End of Silence deconstruct struggles that listeners face, while painting a picture of redemption in the midst of brokenness. According to lead vocalist Mike Barnes, Red stands for the blood of Christ and what it represents: passion, pain, but ultimately, redemption.

Introducing Ayiesha Woods is specially priced at $17.99 while End Of Silence is value priced at $14.99 at Canadian Christian retailers. Visit HearItFirst.ca to hear audio samples from these albums.
