Bananas is a clean comedy television series produced by Guardian Studios and is taped before a live audience. The show features a different nationally recognized comedian each week and is hosted by L.A. comic, Thor Ramsey. Paul Aldrich
Paul Aldrich, described as a combination between Steve Martin, Weird Al and Eric Clapton, has been developing and delivering amazing comedy for more than 20 years. Paul’s performances have been seen on Showtime, at The Improve and at thousands of events throughout the U.S. and overseas. Not only is Paul a comedian, but an accomplished musician and inspirational speaker as well. Paul comes by humour naturally and will surely amuse you with his side-splitting observations, music parodies and impressions.
Jeff Allen
Jeff Allen has been entertaining audiences for years. His successful career has resulted in several TV appearances including credits on VH1’s “Standup Spotlight” and Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend”. Jeff’s comedic abilities have led to working with many celebrities, most notably, Jerry Sienfeld. In addition, he has twice been the featured performer at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington D.C. Jeff Allen is a brilliant comedian that really sets the standard for clean comedy.
Bone
Bone has been described as the country’s poster child for clean comedy. He has co-starred on ABC’s sitcom Less Than Perfect starring Sheri Shepherd and Andy Dick, and he is a regular on B.E.T.’s Comic View and Oh Drama. In addition to working all of the A-List comedy clubs such as The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory and The Improv, he has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, Charisma and Gospel Today.
John Branyan
John Branyan continues to delight audiences across the U.S. with his quality style and “gift of wit”. John’s accomplishments include being an improv player with Think Tank and performing at Jay Leno’s National Comedy Competition. John is also a talented writer with such credits as writing for the American Comedy Network and head writer for Clip-Wit radio humour service. In addition, he is co-writer and performer in the successful theatrical presentation, Crazy Love.
Ken Davis
A frequent radio and television guest, Ken Davis is one of the country’s most sought after comedians. His mixture of side-splitting humour and inspiration delights audiences of all ages. Ken’s daily syndicated radio show Lighten Up! with Ken Davis is heard on over 1,200 radio stations nationwide. He has been a frequent guest on Focus on the Family and is a featured speaker for Promise Keeper events. Ken has performed with the likes of Bill Gaither, Ray Charles and Ben Vereen. In addition to his comedic talents, Ken is a motivational speaker and a best selling and award winning author.
Leland Klassen
Leland Klassen, who calls Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada home, is an accomplished comedian and television host / producer. Recipient of the Broadcast Performer of Tomorrow Award (Association of Broadcasters, BC) Leland continues to amuse audiences with his “physical brand” of humour. In addition, Leland has written and performed for CBC Radio. This multi-talented and extremely funny Canadian is destined for stardom.
Taylor Mason
Taylor Mason has spent the last 20 years performing in comedy clubs, theatres, colleges and on TV. His act features his talents as a musician and a ventriloquist, as well as a stand-up comic. Recently Taylor has teamed up with the Gaithers and is a part of their tour and concerts. Taylor is a former Star Search Grand Prize winner and has received two “Family Entertainer of the Year Awards.”
Nazareth
Nazareth is one of the top stand-up comedians working the clean comedy circuit today. Born in Israel and reared in Kuwait, Nazareth arrived in the U.S. in 1984. His long list of credits include, touring with the Temptations and Righteous Brothers, as well as, several television appearances including Comedy Central. Nazareth has entertained millions of people internationally with his wit and side-splitting humour.
Bob Nelson
Bob Nelson has endeared audiences with his phenomenal ability to make them laugh since 1978. No stranger to television, Bob has been a guest on The David Letterman Show and The Tonight Show. In addition, he has been seen on the silver screen, in Kindergarten Cop and This is My Life. Bob’s accomplishments and accolades are too numerous for the space provided. In summary, he is truly a very, very funny man.
Ron Pearson
Described as a “comic ball of fire”, Ron Pearson is a comedian, actor and world-champion juggler. In addition to being a top stand-up comedian performing in clubs across the country, Ron is the leading warm-up comedian in Hollywood. Just a few of his television appearances include Malcom & Eddie, The Late Late Show, Two Guys and a Girl and the Jerry Lewis Telethon. Ron is also a comedy writer contributing regularly to US Weekly Magazine.
David Pendleton
A 20-year veteran entertainer, David Pendleton has been a ventriloquist since he was 6 years old and performing since age 11. He has worked with several nationally known comedians and has appeared on ABC’s America’s Funniest People and on the Today Show on NBC. You will be hard pressed to detect any movement from David’s lips as he introduces you to a wide range of comedic characters. As one of the nation’s premiere ventriloquists, David will make you believe anything can talk!
Tjor Ramsey
Thor Ramsey, described as a “good-natured funny-bomb”, has kept audiences laughing for 17 years. His brand of comedy has been described as “smart, sometimes loud but always straightforward.” He’s appeared on A&E’s An Evening at the Improv, was a semi-finalist in Comedy Central’s Laugh Riots competition and, oh yeah, he’s currently hosting some family-friendly comedy series called Bananas. In addition, Thor has received national critical acclaim from such newspapers as the LA Times, the Cleveland Plain Dealer and the Washington Post.
Joby Saad
Known for his un-human facial expressions and comedic physicality, Joby Saad delivers a truly unique brand of theatrical comedy combining dance, one liners and mime. Joby has entertained U.S. troops overseas and has performed with some of the top names in comedy such as Tim Allen, Adam Sandler and Jeff Foxworthy. In addition, his television credits include A&E, TNN, and Comedy Central’s Goon Squad.
Daren Streblow
Daren Streblow combines a wild imagination with a keen sense of humour that makes him an outstanding comedian. Bob Stromberg
For more than 25 years, Bob Stromberg has been delighting audiences of all ages with his music and comical storytelling. He has performed at over 8,000 conferences, programs and retreats including the Promise Keepers arena events. In addition to his comedic talents, Bob is the author of two best selling books and co-author of the hit play Triple Espresso, which has been performed in dozens of cities around the world including Chicago, Seattle, Dublin, and London.
Fred Travalena
A consummate entertainer, comic and impressionist, Fred Travalena has delighted audiences all over the world with performances that are clean and hilarious. He has hosted a number of television comedy specials and his three-octave voice allows him to impersonate everyone from Sinatra to Garth, earning him the names “Mr. Everybody” and “The Man of a Thousand Faces.” Fred has made countless appearances on national television on such shows as Late Night with David Letterman, The Tonight Show and Entertainment Tonight.
