The documentary feature film “The Passion of The Christ” is now available on 2 DVD set.

On any given Sunday in choirs across the country, there are vocalists who dream of being “The One”. With the proliferation of competitions focusing so intently on secular music, it was frustrating not having an outlet for their gifts. Thus, Gospel Dream, the competition broadcast on the Gospel Music Channel was born.

For the third season, over one thousand hopefuls auditioned across the country hoping for the chance to become not one but “The One”, with the added bonus of a recording contract.

From those auditions, 21 semifinalists were narrowed down to 10 finalists. The last round takes place in Nashville, where dreams can be realized or dreams can be broken. The Nashville round determines the winner of the Gospel Dream title and the coveted major label deal.

To commemorate the third season’s success, Verity Records presents, Gospel Dream, featuring music from the 10 finalists as well as this year’s winner, Brian Smith.

This 2-hour show hosted by Brian Littrell (who also performs on the show) showcased 8 finalists singing some of the most well-known songs in Christian music in styles ranging from Praise & Worship, Gospel and CCM with the winner receiving a recording contract from EMI Christian Music Group.

While Gifted! resembles other reality-based television shows, its unique quality is that contestants desire to display the gift that God gave them and give back that gift by sharing the message of hope in Christ with the world.

Judges included Michael Sweet (lead singer of Stryper), Eddie DeGarmo (President, EMI CMG Publishing) and Andraé Crouch (Gospel music legend).
