Release Date: May 03, 2005
Ronan Tynan’s personal story of triumph in the face of adversity is the stuff of which legends are made.
The subject of an ABC-TV 20/20 profile, Ronan was born with legs that were shortened and deformed below the knee, yet his parents always treated him like they didn’t care how he looked or walked, encouraging him to sing and to believe in himself.
His music career began in 1994, when he entered a nationally-televised talent show in his native Ireland and won.
Former member of The Irish Tenors.
He is also a highly sought after motivational speaker, delivering words and music of hope and inspiration to thousands of people around the country.
Performed at the memorial service for former President Ronald Reagan and was subsequently invited to sing at George W. Bush’s Presidential Inauguration.
This past April, Tynan performed at Toronto’s famed Winter Garden Theatre.
Throughout his remarkable life, Ronan has come to embody the best qualities of the human spirit: Inspiration, Dedication, Courage, Compassion and Joy.
U2’s Bono wrote, “When Ronan sings the clouds cry but the sun turns up sooner than it would have. He sang for my father, Bob, as we put him in the ground, and it felt like shelter. The wind died down, the rain stopped for the loudest, softest voice we have… a great Irish tenor.”
