Toronto Mass Choir (TMC) has been a consistent presence in the Canadian Gospel music industry for almost 20 years.

Going Home is the next in a string of award winning albums released on the Micah Records label. ‘Follow Him’ was nominated for a JUNO award in 1999 and ‘Instrument of Praise’ won a JUNO Award for Best Gospel Recording in 2003.

Now this multi-cultural mass choir is set to release their sixth album; a mixture of the rhythms of the Caribbean wrapped up with the soul stirring lyrics of Gospel music and the smooth flavour of Jazz. Each track takes you on a spiritual cruise into the various musical styles of the Caribbean islands. Lovers of Reggae, Soca, Calypso and Jazz music will not be disappointed.

Toronto Mass Choir’s most recent recording, Instrument of Praise was released in February 2002 and won the 2003 Juno Award for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Music Album of the Year, the Vibe (Shai) Award for Urban/Soul Album of the Year, the Urban Music Award for Best Gospel Recording, as well as the 2002 Covenant Award for Best Urban/Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year by the Canadian Gospel Music Association.

Past and present members of TMC include Sharon Riley (Faith Chorale), Hiram Joseph, Aileen Lombardo, Canadian Idol Season One finalist Nicole Sinclair.
