At 16, Krista’s father discovered her talent for singing and songwriting and believed in her enough to take her to the recording studio for her to record her first album. In spite of not having any plans of releasing or marketing that album, Krista found her songs getting serious airplay on Moncton’s CKOE 100.9 FM and she became the number one requested artist.

Jane’s World includes some fun light hearted love songs like You And Me and Extraordinary, along with more serious songs like Black Eyed Susan and Nursery Crimes about domestic and child abuse. “The subject matter may seem dark, but the songs are usually presented in such a way that I’m hoping people can find the situations relatable.” says Krista. “Most importantly I want people to remember that they are not alone.”

Krista enlisted help from local guitar hero Chris Colepaugh who did most of the guitars on the album and all the bass. Colepaugh even offered help with song structuring and creative direction, most notably on Penny For Your Thoughts.
