What To Do With Daylight [Abridged]
Release Date: Jan 12, 2010
Originally released in Australia and New Zealand in 2004 (and the precursor to the 2008 North American release of her second blockbuster solo album entitled “Albertine” which yielded a Top 5 hit at Christian radio with the single, Shadowfeet), What To Do With Daylight was the initial impetus for Brooke’s burgeoning career and eventual worldwide success.
What To Do With Daylight debut at no. 1 on the New Zealand music charts and reached gold status the same week. It has since sold over seven times platinum in New Zealand and broke all radio airplay records with four consecutive airplay number ones. The album was the second best-selling album in New Zealand for 2004 and garnered Brooke Best Female Solo Artist and Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the 2004 NZ Music Awards.
Music lovers in North America often identify her as a member of the modern worship outfit Hillsong United, as she has penned some of their most beloved hymns including “Hosanna”, “Lead Me To The Cross” and “Lord Of Lords”.
Her performance of one of those songs, “Hosanna”, has almost five million views on YouTube.
In anticipation of a brand new solo album tentatively slated for the summer of 2010, What To Do With Daylight is being released in North America to reinforce the success Brooke has experienced over the course of the last couple of years.
