The Five Bind Boys Of Alabama formed in 1937 as “The Happyland Jubilee SIngers”. They performed very traditional black gospel quartet music. In the early 1940’s they changed their name to ” The Five Blind Boys Of Alabama” and slowly started cultivating a new sound.

With the tradition of drums and electric instruments, their sound became a melting pot for all black music while never straying from their Gospel roots.
