Lou has been the lead singer of popular band Phatfish for the last 17 years. Together they have recorded eight albums and toured extensively throughout the UK, Canada and America. She has also served as part of the worship team at the Stoneleigh Bible weeks; her distinctive voice being a major feature on those best selling worship albums.
Lou has also made several appearances on the BBC's 'Songs of Praise'. Her Debut solo album, ‘Treasure’, was released in early 2006 and has proved to be much loved by both the critics and the public, revealing just how skilled Lou is at releasing worship among us. Featuring songs such as 'O God of love' and the heart rending 'Prayer Song' it also offers up inspirational classics like 'Build this House', 'Hard Pressed' and the title track, ‘Treasure’.
Treasure was followed in 2008 by Promised Land, a fantastic follow up that was awarded CBC Worship Album of the year for 2008. Like Treasure, Promised Land features superb production and musicianship, coupled with Lou’s exceptional delivery of songs that will both inspire and challenge.
No wonder expectations are high for her May 2010 album release - titled Step Into The Light. Produced by legendary keyboardist Mark Edwards and featuring musicians like Troy Miller (who also drums for Amy Winehouse) and Stu G (fresh from Delirious), with backing vocals from Lawrence Johnson (Leona Lewis) and Ladaonna (Corinne Bailey Rae).
At the heart of all she does is a desire to communicate the love of God through song. Her desire is to express truth, feed the church and bring revelation of God through her singing and songwriting.
